The entire route is a one-mile loop. For those who may not be able to finish the route, it can be shortened to a ¼ mile around the South Fountain Lawn. The route is scenic, flat and wheelchair accessible.
Along the Walk route we hope to feature cheerleaders, dancers, musicians and other entertainers, as well as bands on the main stage before, during, and after the walk. Email us if you would like to perform or if you know someone who might be interested in performing.
The Kids Zone will contain many fun activities for the whole family including crafts, face painting, and more. Be sure to stop by with your young participants or any of your young at heart team members!
Patient Survivor Tent
Patients and Survivors are invited to this very special place on the day of the Walk. One highlight is the "Gift of Experiences". Every patient and survivor will be able to choose an experience to take with them to enjoy at a later date with family and friends or for a day of self-care and pampering.
A photography project designed to tell the journey of those impacted by a disabling disease via a free photo session. We offer up a portrait session for that person and their family/friends. But instead of just photographing them, we give them a moment to remember. We ask them to say something to the world by writing a message on a canvas board. We then print their photograph of choice on a large canvas. Go to SomethingLarger.org to see what we're talking about.
Tent of Honor
A dedicated area of photos and messages submitted by participants to recognize the people they are honoring, whether in celebration of a survivor or in memory of a friend or loved one. Email photos and messages or bring them on the day of the Walk.
Closing Festivities and Survivor Tribute
After the Walk, you are invited to stay and enjoy refreshments, music, and a special tribute to brain cancer patients and their families. Awards will be given to groups and individuals for their fundraising leadership, and to the teams with the most participants.
