Walk Highlights

The Seattle Brain Cancer Walk is so much more than a walk. The morning will be filled with activities for everyone. Highlights of the Walk include the following:

Entertainment
Along the Walk route we hope to feature cheerleaders, dancers, musicians and other entertainers, as well as bands on the main stage before, during, and after the walk. Email us if you would like to perform or if you know someone who might be interested in performing.

Post-Walk Picnic
This year we are encouraging teams to stay and picnic after the Walk. We will have a bag check at Founders Court, where you can store your blanket, basket/cooler, etc. during the Walk. After the Awards Ceremony, grab your blanket and cooler and gather in Founders Court for a picnic as a few of the SBCW performers will continue to entertain. In addition, the Seattle Children's Museum at Seattle Center is offering 1/2 price admission on Walk day to anyone wearing a 2011 SBCW shirt.

Calling all mimes!
This year we would like to stage a group of mimes to direct walk traffic at each point where the walk route turns. As a volunteer mime, you would "tell" everyone which way to go. No experience necessary, just dress in black, paint your face white, and have fun with it. Email us if you would like to be a volunteer mime.

Kids Zone
The Kids Zone will contain many fun activities for the whole family including crafts, face painting, and more. Be sure to stop by with your young participants or any your at heart team members!

Patient Survivor Tent
Patients and Survivors are invited to this very special place on the day of the Walk. One highlight is the "Gift of Experiences". Every patient and survivor will be able to choose an experience to take with them to enjoy at a later date with family and friends or for a day of self-care and pampering.

If you would like to donate an experience or join the procurement team please contact us.

Tent of Honor
A dedicated area of photos and messages submitted by participants to recognize the people they are honoring, whether in celebration of a survivor or in memory of a friend or loved one. Email photos and messages or bring them on the day of the Walk.
